So why do you write a journal?
This one I get a lot. I write a journal because I see it as a form of self-therapy. I can get all my
feelings off of my chest and look at them from an objective point of view. I can see where I am wrong, right or just plain
confused and move on with my life accordingly. I get a great deal of satisfaction writing my day's events down. For one, I can
use it as a cronology that I can look back at and see how far I've come over time. Also, it serves as a good way to structure
myself. I can look at what I do on a day-to-day basis and see areas where I could improve, or things I don't do that I probably
should. All in all, keeping a journal is my way of keeping me calm and collected.
Ok, then why put it on the Internet for everyone to read?
This is another one I get a lot. Here's how I look at it: I put my thoughts and feelings on the Internet because I
feel that people can relate to me and thus get something out of reading my ramblings as well as I feel that my talents as a
writer make my ho-hum life seem a little more interesting than, let's say, just posting my daily planner up on the net for
people to read. One day I hope to make my writing a career so I need all the practice I can get. I also design webpages for a
living so making sure I update at least one part of my site on a daily basis is good exercise for my HTML'n.
So why the weird pictures of your eye or ultraman?
Hehe, this one is easy. I'm fascinated with photography. I don't have the actual talent to be a professional
photographer, however. So I just play amateur cameraman with my Connectix black and white Quickcam. I just line it up, click
take picture and upload them! Maybe someday I'll take the time to learn how to take good pictures, but until that day
I'll just snap pictures off at the waist.
Do you tell everything through your journal?
Not everything, no. I'm not a celebrity by any means, but I do realize that putting my life's details on the net
makes me a public figure to some. Because of this, I don't disclose everything about myself in my journal. You'd never be able
to tell by just reading it, but there are parts of my life and my day that don't go into my journal. Perhaps I'll do a shocking
expose on my hidden life one day, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
