about dailyjournal.org...

i started keeping a 'daily' journal back in september of 1997. it was a relaxing, therapeutic way of keeping things off my chest and from ganging up on me. it's also nice to be able to express how i'm feeling and know that other people read it and can relate to it. i'm not some superhero, i'm a regular person like everyone else. we all share a common bond in that life can dish out some real interesting crap from time to time. it's comforting to know that other people are going through the same crap.

i would start writing it and then stop. start again and then stop. it's a cycle that i go through every now and again. this stint has been the longest running, approaching 6 months. who knows, it may last. regardless, i have a nice archive of my life for however many months at a time to look back on and learn from. i see my journal as an online record and textbook, waiting to be read and studied. someday anthropologists will look at it and say...

"that was one boring ass jew."
